On September 11, 2016 a large group of people gathered in Quezon City Memorial Circle to form a motorcade asking Senator Leila de Lima to resign. It is safe to assume that these individuals are all supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte, who’s arch enemy is de Lima.
One of the supporters said that the movement was triggered because of the lady senators constant opposition of President Duterte but mostly it’s about her ties with the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.
A source familiar with the movement said, the motorcade was formed primarily in Facebook and took weeks to prepare.
