Philippine President Duterte finally arrives at the State Palace of Indonesia where he was greeted with an overwhelming welcome.

A warm welcome was given by the Indonesian Community. All were wearing their national attire as the Philippine leader arrived.

Duterte stood firm as the National Anthem of the Philippines was played. The flags of Indonesia and Philippines were held by the people in the venue and they waved it as Duterte was walking in the middle. It is a sign of their love and support for the relationship of the Philippines and Indonesia.


After the welcome ceremonies, a bilateral meeting will be held between PH President Rodrigo Duterte and Indonesian President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo.

The two leaders of the Asian countries are expected to talk about the release of the 9 remaining Indonesian sailors who are abducted by Abu Sayyaf as well as the chance of sparing the life of Mary Jane Veloso who is detained in Indonesia.
